• Evergreen Public Schools seeks volunteer help as literacy and math tutors in the classrooms, as well as in the Art Discovery and Lunch Buddy programs.
• School of Piano Technology for the Blind seeks drivers and substitute drivers to drive blind piano tuners to job sites. Student mentors also are needed to work with first-year students.
• Share seeks help preparing and serving meals. Individual people and groups are welcome.
• Vancouver Public Schools is looking for literacy and math tutors to help in the classrooms, in the Food Pantry at Marshall Elementary School, with the Homework Club at Minnehaha Elementary School, and in the Lunch Buddy program.
• West Columbia Gorge Humane Society seeks help in the cat shelter and dog kennel, with cleaning and laundry, and volunteers to socialize, groom and interact with the animals.
The Clark County councilors seek to fill a position on the Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board by a person with intellectual or developmental disabilities. A person familiar with self-advocacy is preferred. The board meets at 5:15 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every other month at the Center for Community Health, Conference Room C-210, 1601 E.
