Stephanie Knight and Emma Jones each scored 14 points and Camas survived a slow start Friday to get a win over rival Union in Class 4A Greater St. Helens League girls basketball.

Knight scored six of her points in the second quarter when Camas (14-2, 7-1 GSHL) took the lead after the Titans had jumped out to a seven-point advantage in the first quarter.

Jones scored six in the final quarter.

Madison Freemon added 11 points for the Papermakers. Teague Schroeder made two 3-pointers for her six points.

Abby Forsyth led Union (7-8, 3-5) with 13 points — all in the second half. Kili Anderson and Sarah Trostle each had seven points.

Union played the game with a new coach. Kelly Blankenship, the head coach, was put on administrative leave by Evergreen Public School earlier in the day. Assistant coach Gary Mills will be the head coach for the remainder of the season.
