GOLDENDALE — Goldendale police are seeking a man in connection with a string of burglaries and thefts that occurred over the past three months.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the man, Edwin Charge Jr., on a charge of first-degree possession of stolen property. Police said Charge could be armed with a stolen handgun and that people should not try to approach him.

Police say a tip from a crime victim about the whereabouts of stolen property led officers to carry out two search warrants and arrest of two people Thursday. The evidence uncovered in the searches helped solve 10 crimes, including multiple burglaries and thefts, and could lead to solving eight other crimes, police said.

Police had been investigating a string of burglaries and vehicle prowls for three months, but did not have enough information to make an arrest, according to a news release issued by the Goldendale Police Department. On Thursday, a burglary victim told officers where some of the property stolen in the burglary was located, allowing authorities to obtain search warrants.

Police arrested a 19-year-old woman on suspicion of possessing stolen property, while a 25-year-old woman was being held on an outstanding felony warrant, according to the release.
