Law enforcement officials say they’re investigating the death of a Portland man whose body was found in a Hazel Dell motel last month as an overdose.

When deputies with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office found the body of Christopher Feil, a 41-year-old Portland man, they said the death was suspicious.

Feil’s body was found in Kay’s Motel, 6700 N.E. Highway 99, on Dec. 16, according to the sheriff’s office.

Though the Clark County Medical Examiner hasn’t made an official ruling, Major Crimes Sgt. Todd Barsness said that the direction the investigation is going is that the death appears to be an accidental overdose.

“There is no indication at this point it was a homicide,” Barsness said.
