RENTON — A woman who was shot in a Washington movie theater last month says she is still coping with what happened to her.

KOMO-TV reports that Michelle Mallari says since she was shot at the Regal Cinemas at The Landing in Renton on Jan. 21 she is more fearful when in public and has a hard time leaving the house.

Mallari had gone to see “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” when a 29-year-old man accidentally fired the shot.

Police say the man had brought the gun to the theater because he worried the movie’s subject matter would incite a mass shooting.

He has been charged with third-degree assault.

Mallari still has her arm in a sling but says she hopes to return to work and some normalcy in a month.
