A car caught fire on Interstate 205 northbound into Washington Wednesday afternoon, delaying rush-hour traffic.
The fire was reported around 5 p.m., and it blocked the two right lanes of the roadway and billowed smoke over the Interstate 205 Bridge.
Portland Fire & Rescue Lt. Rich Chatman said no one was hurt, and troopers with Washington State Patrol took over then had the car towed.
The roadway wasn’t cleared until about 45 minutes later, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
