The Community Foundation of Southwest Washington is trying to boost awareness of next week’s 24-hour online giving challenge through social media tools.

To promote Give More 24! the foundation is asking people to use Thunderclap, which posts a message on their social media platform of choice. The message posts one time at 7 a.m. Sept. 24. To sign up, visit www.thunderclap.it/projects/29380-sign-up-boost-give-more-24.

The community foundation also is encouraging people to add a Give More 24! “twibbon” to their social media profile pictures via www.twibbon.com/Support/give-more-24-campaign.

Last year, Give More 24! led to nearly $432,000 in gifts to local nonprofits and charitable agencies.
