Letter: How can anyone just stand by?

How can anyone with a conscience condone or willfully ignore the ongoing human abortion butchery?

How many videos and aborted babies are enough to confirm the barbarous disregard for human life in our country, and organizations that reportedly profit from such wanton death and destruction?

You who read this and I are lucky ones; we had a chance to live. But countless unborn have never had a chance, were deemed inconvenient and then destroyed by others holding power over their fragile lives.

How can any rational person hide behind a woman’s body to justify such widespread carnage?

How can anyone with regard for human life remain silent, or condone the spending of the public treasury to support such diabolical deeds?

This is no abstract, theoretical discussion of ethics. This is real. Our society is truly sick to allow this unmitigated mayhem to go on, and teeters on the moral brink of self-destruction. We must find a higher way to live, and let live, or suffer the dehumanizing consequences.
