Revenue offers workshop for business owners

Vancouver — The Washington State Department of Revenue is hosting a free workshop for new and small-business owners in Vancouver on Sept. 16.

Participants will learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, tax incentives, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements. Attendees receive a workbook and helpful reference guide to Revenue’s rules and regulations. Also, attendees may earn one continuing professional education credit.

The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to noon in the Department of Revenue’s Vancouver Training Room, 8008 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Ste. 340. To register, call 360-256-2060 or go online to Revenue’s workshop and education page (http://dor.wa.gov/Workshops).
