SEATTLE — A woman has given birth in a vehicle on the side of Interstate 5 in Seattle after she and the baby’s father were unable to make it to the hospital on time.
KIRO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1MZqQ0H ) that the birth happened during the Friday morning commute, which was extra-slow due to heavy rain.
The birth occurred on a Mercer Street offramp. Both the northbound and southbound ramps were blocked as medics responded.
The scene was cleared and the mother, baby and father were on the way to the hospital around 7 a.m.
