WASHOUGAL — Rachael Ries has been selected to become the new manager of Washougal Community Library, the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District announced Wednesday.
Ries will begin her new duties on Dec. 16.
Ries is a public services librarian at the Vancouver Community Library. She previously served as the Washougal library supervisor from January 2014 to February 2015.
The Washougal position became open when former Branch Manager Chris Hughey retired.
Community members had a chance to talk with Ries and three other candidates at Nov. 10 in a “meet and greet” session, and then provide feedback to the hiring committee.
