Ogden — Members of the Rotary Club of Greater Clark County came together on Oct. 24 to build bunk beds for Community of Hope, a homeless shelter for women and children in Northwest Portland. The Clark County group worked with the Downtown Portland Rotary Club and the Albina Rotary Club, which donated the money to the shelter to purchase the materials for the beds. “Without these (beds), the women and children residents of the shelter would still be sleeping on mattresses on the floor,” Linda Jo Devlaeminck, volunteer manager for Community of Hope, said in a Rotary news release.
