A Tacoma man was injured in a crash early Friday morning on Interstate 5 in Vancouver.

Joshua I. Murdoch, 39, was driving a 2000 Volvo S40 south on the highway when he lost control of the car just south of the Interstate 205 junction at about 1 a.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.

The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its side and Murdoch was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, troopers reported. He was released that afternoon.

Troopers said that speed caused the crash and that Mudoch was cited for driving too fast for the conditions.
