Letter: Do unto others … is sound advice

The Columbian
Published: March 3, 2015, 12:00am

I have learned to keep my beliefs to myself because some people are offended by them. I have lost friends because I didn’t keep my beliefs hidden well enough … even though they aren’t forced to hide theirs from me. I am not offended that others believe in a god, I don’t tell them they are bad people, I don’t try to change their minds, I don’t push to have my beliefs posted in government buildings.

I wish only that people who believe in a god would extend those same courtesies to me. Read Luke 6:31.
