Letter: Right time to get back to work

The Columbian
Published: June 19, 2015, 12:00am

The June 10 story “Number of U.S. job openings surges” came as no surprise to those of us at WorkSource Vancouver. We have more job openings than we can fill.

WorkSource works directly with employers to post their job openings, and handle candidate screening and interviewing. We act as an extension of the company’s human resources team to help companies find and hire the right people.

We encourage anyone who took a “survival job” just to make ends meet to come to WorkSource and get no-cost assistance to find a better job or see if they qualify for a grant to pay for needed training. We have job openings in many industries and at various experience levels.

Right now, we have many jobs in construction (laborers, carpenters, painters, etc.), health care (CNAs, MAs, etc.), manufacturing, (production, operators, welders, etc.), transportation (warehouse and commercial licensed drivers) and customer service.

To learn more, contact WorkSource at 360-735-4956 or attend an orientation at 1 p.m. Fridays at WorkSource, 5411 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 15, Vancouver. Thousands of jobs are available across the state. Visit www.go2worksource.com to view jobs and apply.

Now is an excellent time for job seekers to get back to work.
