I have friends running for office who tell me that it is now common practice to print lies, exaggerations and just plain untruths. One friend approached the writer of a lie asking for it to be removed. The writer refused. So how is a voter to figure out the true beliefs and ideas of any candidate? Take Hillary Clinton, for example.
Hillary has been attacked ever since Bill started running for office. That she might actually have been a secretary of state who accomplished things (despite the Republicans’ need to waste many months worrying about Benghazi, obviously more important than the wasteful Iraq War) can be found in the history files.
Jerry Richards claims, in a June 22 letter, that the Clinton Foundation, “Charity (is) a beautiful scam.”
As we all do, I receive many requests to donate to charities. I complained of this to a professional “charity person.” I was directed to the nonprofit organization Charity Navigator. There I found lots of information about the charities’ use of the monies they receive. Since I am now an expert charity investigator, I checked out the Clinton Foundation. There are pages and pages of comments. I could not find one that was even the slightest bit critical. Actually most of them were quite complimentary.
