Felida Children’s Parade, 10:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. The annual community parade held in Felida Park is open to all, with after-parade activities featuring music by the Vancouver Community Concert Band, picnic games, community displays and refreshments. Fireworks at Port of Camas-Washougal, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Enjoy music by Sky Bound Blues Band and 5 Guys Named Moe before the fireworks show launched over the river. Marina Park, 24 South A St., Washougal; free. http://portcw.com
Independence Day at Fort Vancouver, noon to 10:30 p.m., gates open at 8 a.m. The annual celebration features community activities for the whole family, with music on the main stage, the Kids Patriotic Parade at 4 p.m., heritage area with black-powder demonstrations and barracks tours, picnic games, craft vendors and more. One of the biggest fireworks shows in the area lights the skies at 10:05 p.m. Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Evergreen Boulevard and Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver; $5 to $7, free for ages 12 and younger; $25 to $50 for prime viewing admission, 21 and older; $10 for parking. 4th.fortvan.org
Longview Go Fourth Festival, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The annual celebration takes place by the lake, with log truck wrapper races at 9 a.m., the annual parade at 10 a.m., timber carnival competition at 1 p.m. and fireworks show at 10 p.m. Lake Sacajawea Park, Kessler Boulevard and Hemlock Street, Longview; free. gofourthfestival.org.
