LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — The Lake Oswego School District has fired boys basketball coach Mark Shoff.
The district said in a statement the firing followed an investigation of concerns raised at the Les Schwab Invitational Tournament.
The Oregonian reports it reportedly involved Shoff making physical contact with a player before talking with the team during the Dec. 28 game.
Shoff has a 353-124 record in more than 19 years as the Lakers head coach, making the state playoffs 18 consecutive years and winning eight Three Rivers League titles and one state championship in 2006.
Assistant coaches will lead the team until an interim coach is selected.
