There’s no running back in football like Marshawn Lynch.

Instead of avoiding defenders, he seeks and destroys them. The man nicknamed Beast Mode sheds tacklers like a bear sheds its winter coat.

Lynch has been a Seahawks fan favorite since coming to Seattle during the 2010-11 season. During a playoff game that season against New Orleans, he literally shook the Seattle sports scene.

In delivering 67 yards of punishment en route to the end zone, Lynch broke nine tackles and threw cornerback Tracy Porter to the ground with one arm. The vibrations of fans jumping were so heavy that they registered on a nearby seismic gauge. The run was dubbed “Beast Quake.”

It was a once-in-a-career run. Except for Lynch, it wasn’t.

On Dec. 21 against Arizona, Lynch’s thunder struck again. During a career-long 79-yard touchdown run, he broke four tackles, tip-toed the sideline and threw all-pro cornerback Patrick Peterson to the ground.

This could be Lynch’s last season in Seattle. If so, he bookended his Seahawks career with two epic runs.
