The Washington State Patrol will have extra troopers on state roads tonight as part of continued intoxicated-driving patrols that started Nov. 25.
Since then, troopers statewide have made 1,205 arrests for driving under the influence of intoxicants, the agency said.
The state patrol reminds New Year’s Eve revelers to plan ahead to find alternate transportation, drivers to slow for inclement weather, and all motorists to buckle up.
The emphasis patrols in Clark County are paid for by the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission.
