Brush Prairie — The Hockinson High School jazz band took home first-place honors in the A Division at the 19th annual Skyview High School Storm of Cool Jazz Festival on Dec. 5.
It’s the seventh win in the last nine years for Hockinson at the Skyview-hosted competition.
The band also won the sight reading competition.
They will perform at the Clark College Jazz Festival on Jan. 29. The band is directed by Corey McEnry.
