Vancouver Symphony Orchestra seeks entries for its annual Young Artists Competition, open to music students 18 years and younger who reside within a 135-mile radius of Vancouver. Students can compete in the categories of piano, strings and brass/woodwinds/percussion, with the top three candidates in each category competing in a live performance for scholarship prizes. Vancouver USA Singers open auditions for its 2016 High School Scholarship for Clark County singers in grades nine through 12. The winner will receive $1,000 plus a performance in the choir’s spring concert.
