Letter: Oust Nickels

The Columbian
Published: August 28, 2015, 5:00pm

In response to Claudia Anderson’s Aug. 22 letter “Re-elect incumbent Nickels,” Mavis Nickels was one of the Battle Ground Public School board members who approved a $more than $400,000 severance package for incompetent Superintendent Shonny Bria. Nickels may be a retired math teacher from Prairie High School but apparently math is not her strong point. What she approved for Bria could have supplied much-needed materials for students in Battle Ground schools, perhaps even hiring 10 teachers at $40,000 per year. Do not re-elect Mavis Nickels.
