An emergency burn ban went into effect Monday morning in Skamania County, according to the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office.
The ban prohibits all outdoor fires, including campfires, across the entire county. The ban was put in place because of extreme weather conditions and went into immediate effect following a press release sent to media shortly after 9:15 a.m. Monday.
