A Vancouver man ran from the scene of a Tuesday-morning crash in the Northeast Hazel Dell area, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The two-vehicle collision was reported at 10:43 a.m. at Northeast 34th Avenue and 78th Street. One of the drivers, Nicholas P. Weaver, 26, ran from the scene of the crash, said sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Neiman. He was taken into custody nearby and booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license, as well as an outstanding arrest warrant on a separate driving while suspended charge, Neiman said.

The other driver, whose name was not released, was sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening and was listed in stable condition Tuesday evening, Neiman said.
