Clark College’s print and online student newspaper, “The Independent,” earned two national awards at the Associated Collegiate Press 30th annual National College Journalism Convention, Feb. 27 through March 2 in San Diego.
The newspaper won third place in a Best of Show competition among more than 30 community colleges that publish weekly newspapers.
Its online version, which was launched in 2012, captured 10th place among large community colleges and four-year institutions.
