Twice over the past several weeks, I have seen men open-carrying pistols in small Clark County family restaurants. It certainly started interesting discussions and more than a little heartburn.
While “open carry” is legal in public, on private property (shopping malls, restaurants and retail stores) it is a different matter.
RCW 9.41.270 states that it is “unlawful for a person to carry, exhibit, display or draw any firearm in a manner, under circumstances, and at a time and place that either manifests intent to intimidate another or that warrants alarm for the safety of other persons.”
Business owners, please, place “No Firearms Allowed” signs at your entrances or understand if I choose not to come in.
