A Vancouver man was killed Thursday in a commercial truck crash in Oregon.
Jason Alan Reynolds, 42, was driving a 2000 Freightliner truck south on state Highway 47 just north of Yamhill, Ore., about 11 a.m. when the truck crossed the center line on a corner, went off the highway and overturned, according to the Oregon State Police.
Reynolds was pronounced dead at the scene. The OSP said he was not using safety restraints.
The truck was transporting several hundred gallons of syrup, some of which spilled. The highway was closed during the investigation and clean-up.
