Started at Coldwell Banker, spent some years with Keller Williams Realty and two years ago joined Adamas Realty.
Age: 40.
Professional background: Worked in property management for about eight years before starting in residential real estate sales.
Education: Evergreen High School graduate.
Residence: Vancouver’s Hough neighborhood.
How would you describe yourself: Energetic.
Most rewarding part of the job: I like helping people. I like building relationships and helping people find their homes. This job is way more fulfilling than what I was doing previously. When I started in real estate, many of my friends were first-time buyers and they were very excited about their homes. The job allows some flexibility and there is no limit to what money you can make.
Most challenging part of job: Staying current with all the market changes.
Personal/business philosophy: If it is meant to be, it will be.
Favorite moment of my job/career: When I realized that I was making a big difference in people’s lives. It all clicked when I realized it.
Something you would like to do over: I would have started my real estate career even sooner. I love everything about real estate and love what I’m doing.
Best feature of my community:The best feature is the people. Right now people are making such an effort to clean up and beautify downtown. It is becoming more walkable (pedestrian-friendly) and lively. It is a fun place to be.
What would make your community a better place: My community, or downtown, would be better if people continue to be involved. And the more people involved, it will get better and better.
Favorite restaurant/pub/coffee shop/store:My favorites are Torque Coffee, Shanahan’s Pub & Grill (close to my house), Lapellah and Muddy Waters.
Hobbies:Gardening, traveling and I am involved in animal rescue. I like to be outdoors.
Volunteer activities: Founding board member of the Clark County Mural Society. I would love to get more murals downtown. I also volunteer with the Clark County Association of Realtors.
Favorite travel destination: San Diego, Calif., is great for a quick getaway.
Most interesting book in last 12 months: I became a vegetarian about a year ago and since then most of my reading has been books about food and healthy eating.
Most interesting play/movie/arts event:I have been very busy this past year. I am looking forward to going to Cirque du Soleil’s show “Totem” when it comes to Portland in March.
One thing you want to do this year: I want to walk all of the walking trails in Vancouver. Plus I want to do more entertaining, getting friends together.
Something you want to do within five years: I want to have a little more time to relax.
Person you’d most like to meet: I want to meet Peter Nelson from Treehouse Masters so he can come and build a treehouse for me.
