The Cowlitz Tribe’s proposed gambling casino near La Center demonstrates how the federal government runs roughshod over the law.
Allowing only Native Americans to operate casinos is reverse discrimination, and that law will be broken.
Clark County has tried hard to maintain rural zoning in the face of population growth, and county zoning laws will be broken.
The Cowlitz Tribe has few if any historical presence in Clark County and was located many miles farther north, and federal land trust laws will be overreached.
Traditional American values will also be violated. Casino gambling is illegal in most states because the U.S. was founded primarily by strong Christians. However, after the U.S. became an economic success, immigrants swarmed in with their liberal cultures and radically changed U.S. society. They turned the Constitution upside down to legalize abortion and the gay lifestyle. They support drone strikes overseas, which are executions without trials, and violate the traditional American value that people are innocent until proven guilty.
Laws and values should be respected. The Cowlitz Tribe casino should be prohibited.
