Dense fog this morning is causing visibility of less than a quarter mile in Clark County and the surrounding area, according to the National Weather Service.

Freezing temperatures are expected to cause patchy ice on some roads and sidewalks through 9 a.m., the weather service reported in a short-term forecast.

Washington State Department of Transportation Spokeswoman Abbi Russell said that there haven’t been any reports of icy roadways or collisions in Clark County this morning, but she advised drivers to be cautious.

The National Weather Service also issued an air stagnation advisory, which predicts fog will linger locally through Friday.
