Clark County homes lit with holiday spirit

The holiday spirit is strong in Clark County, at least based on the dazzling efforts of dozens of readers who sent us photos of their festive yard displays.

The following homes welcome you to walk or drive by their properties to bask in the cheerful glow. If you’d like to be included in the list please email a photo and details to stover.harger@columbian.com.

West Vancouver

215 N.W. 41st St. The homeowners went for a “traditional look,” including multi-colored lights framing the yard and roof and a Nativity display.

4616 N.W. Franklin St. There are more than 12,000 lights used in the display, which also includes a life-size Santa on the roof with his sleigh and reindeer in the yard. Features a 13-piece Nativity scene. Lights and music are on daily from 4:30 to 10 p.m.

3024 N.W. 128th St. Two inflatable snowmen sit in front of the two-story home decorated with white and red lights. Lights are on from 5 to 10 p.m.

900 Washington St. The best viewing hours for this traditional holiday display are between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Northwest 42nd Street. Neighbors along 42nd Street joined forces to make it a “street of wonder.” Includes a “flamingo parade,” Santa and snowmen with twinkling lights.

Central Vancouver

1601 X St. Classic white lights are stretched across a long white picket fence.

5701 Texas Drive. The entire home and yard is illuminated with multi-colored lights and dozens of figures. A large green light tree stands taller than the house.

607 Palo Alto Drive. This homeowner strived to decorate their home “tastefully,” with a 12-foot candle, snowflakes, lighted window wreathes and a homemade Nativity scene. Also features a 9-foot moose. View from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

3010 N.E. Stapleton Road. More than 70,000 red and white lights are spread along the property with several different themes. Features large inflated characters, including Father Time and Santa on a Harley.

“Nortz Pole” features lights and characters including a collection of illuminated penguins.

East Vancouver

13210 N.E. 93rd St. More than 10,000 lights, most LED, are used in the display that includes a Nativity scene with a shooting star, and a “kid’s corner” with characters from the “Peanuts” cartoon. Lights are on from 4:30 p.m. to midnight.

20306 N.E. 68th St. The display includes about 30,000 lights, with 10,000 on the roof. “Trees” dance to Christmas carols. Inflatable characters include a 14-foot Frosty and 12-foot Santa. Runs from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.

14000 block of Northeast Ninth Street. “Holiday Stars” display stretches across three yards. More than 600 color-changing stars are synced to music playing on 99.1 FM. Show runs 15 minutes. View from 6 to 8 a.m. and 5 to 10 p.m.

2524 N.E. 176th Ave. Thousands of lights are organized in a “candy cane theme” that includes giant candy cans, inflatable characters and lawn lights that “dance to music.” Lights on 5 to 9 p.m. on weeknights and an hour or so on the weekend.

14015 N.E. 70th St. Santa and his reindeer are lit on the roof which is decorated with white and red icicle lights. Presents hang from a tree and large candy canes line the light-covered yard. Lights on from 5 to 10 p.m.

2020 S.E. 132nd Court. Blue lights with icicles frame the roof of the home while multicolored lights showcase an illuminated snowman in the front yard.


11806 S.E. Riveridge Drive
. Along with thousands of lights, the yard is full with decorations, including a small carnival with bumper cars, a Ferris wheel and a carousel. Lights are on from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

15309 N.E. Seventh St., Vancouver. Nativity scene, flying sleigh with reindeer, 40 foot illuminated candy cane on roof, lights, music and more.

Around Clark County


625 E. Dogwood Ave., La Center.
Tens of thousands of lights adorn the home, yard and large trees. A herd of reindeer rests on the roof and a “Santa Dome” is in the yard.


4430 N.W. Crystal Court, Camas.
“Christmas in Camas” display features 25-foot tree, “exploding stars” and arches, all chreographed to music on 87.9 FM. Viewing hours are from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on weeknights and until 10 p.m. or longer on the weekend.

1823 G St., Washougal. The house is decorated with thousands of lights and the yard is full of characters, including Frosty and Santa. Features a manger display and Christmas music.


503 51st St., Washougal.
Homes on 51st Street have decorated their properties with lights and other festive displays for the month. Lights are on at all 15 homes from 7 to 10 p.m.
