A Vancouver man with autism who went missing Tuesday evening was found safe Wednesday in Corvallis, Ore.
Local police searched dumpsters and alleyways Wednesday for John Jenkins, who was seen at his residence in the Westfield Vancouver mall area about 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to Vancouver police.
Jenkins has been diagnosed with a mental illness and is autistic, which makes him gullible when contacted by strangers, police said.
