A motorcyclist was seriously injured at 11:46 p.m. Saturday when the rider collided with a vehicle at Northeast 144th Street and 152nd Avenue in Brush Prairie.

Clark County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Nelson said an initial investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle was eastbound on 144th, stopped at a stop sign at 152nd then proceeded into the path of the northbound motorcyclist, who was not required to stop.

The rider was taken to an area hospital.

The driver remained at the scene.

No names were released Sunday.

Nelson said driver impairment did not appear to be a factor.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is investigating.
