Vancouver police have identified the man killed in a three-car wreck Thursday night at the intersection of East 33rd and P streets.

Charles A. Heroux, 26, of Vancouver was driving a GMC pickup when it was struck by a gray Honda driven by Mark Gant, 20, of Vancouver.

Heroux died at the scene of the accident. Two other occupants of his truck were taken to a hospital, treated and released.

Gant’s Honda also struck a Chevy S10 at the intersection, according to the Vancouver Police Department. Both occupants of the Chevy were treated and released from the hospital Thursday.

Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crashes.

Police arrested Gant on suspicion of vehicular homicide, reckless driving and driving under the influence and felony and misdemeanor hit and run.

The crash remains under investigation.
