Three men fled a beauty supply store in east Vancouver at about 12:50 p.m. Thursday with a bag of stolen cosmetics, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
The men left the parking lot of Ulta, 16521 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., in a stolen white Honda Prelude. They were last seen westbound on Mill Plain.
The vehicle was stolen earlier this week from an Evergreen High School student, according to dispatchers. The theft was captured on video.
Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said the thief was a heavyset man in his early 20s who wore a white shirt, khaki shorts and black shoes.
The man stole items from the store’s large men’s department, which offers such things as lotion and cologne, Kapp said. He then entered the car and left.
Employees weren’t immediately sure what had been stolen, or what it was worth. Employees will make an inventory of stolen items later, Kapp said.
Except for the use of a stolen car, the case is considered third-degree theft by shoplifting.
