Police seek suspect in robbery of Key Bank branch

Police are looking for a man who reportedly robbed a bank on Mill Plain Boulevard east of Interstate 205 on Tuesday.

Police received reports of the robbery at the Key Bank at 13215 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. around 9 a.m.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 45, who is 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black shoes and a red flannel beanie hat, according to emergency traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The suspect fled on foot with a reusable Fred Meyer bag, which allegedly had money in it.

No weapon was seen.

Police weren’t able to locate the suspect, said Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

The case will be forwarded to a detective in the Major Crime Unit and the FBI, Kapp said

As of 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, police had reported no arrest, a 911 dispatcher said.
