Vancouver — U.S. Post Office locations in Vancouver and Portland will offer an extra Sunday collection for customers hoping to get items in the mail sooner ahead of the upcoming Christmas holiday.
Postal workers will collect and process mail from the blue collection boxes at all Vancouver and Portland locations after 1 p.m. Sunday, according to the postal service.
The postal service offered the extra Sunday collection last weekend and this weekend as a way for customers to get a jump on typically high-volume weeks. Monday could be one of the heaviest mailing days of the year, according to the postal service.
