A $7,500 donation from NW Natural will support the popular Summer Reading Program run by the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District.

The Portland-based utility has previously sponsored the annual program, open to children and teenagers through 19.

Last year, some 22,000 children and teenagers logged more than 13 million minutes of reading. They earned nearly 40,000 gift prizes based on accumulated reading time during June, July and August.

The NW Natural contribution should supply 7,500 prizes for the program, available at all 13 FVRL branch libraries and bookmobiles.
