The three elected commissioners of Clark Public Utilities will convene Friday in a special session to sever their long-standing membership with the Washington Public Utility District Association.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the district’s headquarters at 1200 Fort Vancouver Way.
Utility spokesman Mick Shutt said commissioners discovered they would need to end their membership in the association before the end of June, or face a requirement to continue paying membership dues for the following year. The utility is currently paying $151,488 annually, Shutt said.
