Washougal — Gause Elementary students enjoyed some extra special reading time with their mothers or other adults at the seventh annual “Moms and Muffins” event held Jan. 22. The event was organized by first grade teacher Marvina Bugajski, and allowed students to read with their moms or other adults and enjoy a muffin and juice. Another popular part of the event was a book raffle, in which students were invited to choose a friend and they both get to pick a new book of their own. Books were purchased through a grant from Washougal Schools Foundation. “Donuts with Dads” plays host to fathers and will be held later this month.
