Vancouver chamber’s top paid executive leaving
Wednesday, July 23, 2008 By JULIA ANDERSON, Columbian business editorBeth Quartarolo, who took the top paid executive job at the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce two years ago, is leaving the post for a new position in Oregon.
Quartarolo, 53, will become communications director of Oregon Primary Care Association, a group with offices in downtown Portland that advocates on behalf of clinics serving low-income people and immigrants throughout the region.
Quartarolo’s last day with the chamber is August 15.
The Vancouver chamber is Clark County’s largest business organization with 1,200 members and an annual budget of $900,000.

During that period, she served as a chamber board member and on boards of several other business-oriented organizations. After leaving H-P, Quartarolo joined Intel Corp. in Hillsboro, Ore., as coordinator of internal communications for the chipmaker’s Centrino mobile platform group.
In 2006, Quartarolo returned to Clark County and replaced John McKibbin as president of the chamber.
