Fourth of July to arrive with sizzling temperatures

Friday, July 3 | 6:59 a.m.

LAURA MCVICKER, COLUMBIAN STAFF WRITER

For those who have the day off, enjoy another scorcher today.

The National Weather Service has extended its heat advisory for today and the Fourth of July, calling for temperatures to stay in the low to mid 90s. Today's high is expected to be 93, as is tomorrow's high.

Plenty of sunshine is forecast for the holiday weekend, as well.

The heat advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday.

Remember to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the direct sun and check up on elderly or ill neighbors and relatives.
