The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Vancouver-Portland metro area today, calling for temperatures to reach the mid 90s.
The high for Vancouver is expected to be 94 today and 92 tomorrow. Sunny skies are predicted for both days.
How about the Fourth of July? Temperatures will cool to a sizzling 91 for the festivities.

Wow, that means the sidewalks will be nice and warm, but the black asphalt streets maybe a bit too hot, for all the barefooters. And imagine all the sunburns on the river beaches... suncreen people, suncreen! We just don't "do" heat very well, some of us.
