The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement, calling for the warmest weather of the year starting Thursday.

"A dramatic warm up is expected to take place beginning Wednesday of this week, with the warmest weather of the year so far expected Thursday and Friday," the weather statement said.

Today's high is predicted to be 89, with Thursday and Friday's temperatures expected to climb into the low to mid 90s. Sunny skies are in the forecast.

The sizzling weather should stick around for the Fourth of July, with a high of 90 and mostly sunny skies predicted.
