This is very good news! WSU officials show foresight in implementing this important program. Now, what about starting a training program for Teachers of the Visually Impaired and Orientation and Mobility Specialists? With the loss of this program at Portland State, students must enter online programs in other states. Since the School for the Deaf and the School for the Blind are located in Vancouver, having teacher training programs in the same city offers good opportunities for direct "lab school" experience.
