A sheriff’s deputy who spotted a vehicle that allegedly was involved in a kidnap and robbery in Pacific County paved the way for the capture of three wanted men by SWAT officers.

About 9 a.m. Wednesday, the deputy saw a blue 1987 Ford LTD station wagon in the 5500 block of Northeast 66th Avenue, west of Andresen Road near Walnut Grove.

Several people also were at the scene, and some of them went into a house at 5525 N.E. 66th Ave., according to a bulletin from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Since the crime in Pacific County on June 29 had been violent, deputies called in heavily armed members of the Southwest Washington Regional SWAT Team.

Once the house was surrounded by police, Eric M. Elliser, 28, Shane T. McKittrick, 27, and Mark M. Stredicke, 32, came outside as ordered, the bulletin said.

They were arrested for warrants alleging two counts of kidnapping; two counts of second-degree assault; one count of first-degree robbery; and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Details of the crime in Pacific County weren’t immediately available.

Detectives with the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office and the Clark County Sheriff’s Tactical Detective Unit are investigating, the bulletin said.
