Engineering firm establishes own identity

THE COLUMBIAN

After three years in the area, national engineering firm BergerABAM is making itself more at home in Vancouver.
Going forward, the company will use BergerABAM as its business name and drop the reference to The JD White Co., a Vancouver business acquired by BergerABAM in 2006.
Arnie Rusten, president and chief executive officer, said the changes reflect the broader range of services offered by the company. In addition to civil and structural engineering, BergerABAM sells planning, natural resources and public involvement services to project development.
J.D. White managed the Vancouver office until March 2008. Federal Way-based BergerABAM is a privately held company with 2008 revenue of $30 million. It employs about 200 people in offices in Federal Way, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Houston and Vancouver.
