Workshops focus on composting, recycling

THE COLUMBIAN
The Columbia Springs Environmental Education Center will host a pair of free workshops next month on composting and recycling.
The first, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. July 14, will be an open house with demonstrations of various composting bins and systems.
The other event will run from 10 a.m. to noon July 18. The class will teach the basics and science of home composting. To register, send an e-mail with the number of people interested in attending to mcr@columbiasprings.org, or call 360-882-0936, ext. 224.
