Dave M. I like your thinking. If the branches are big enough, they could make a wonderful historical statue or carving depicting the history of the area. Know anybody who would devote their personal time to do this as a contribution to the Fort Vancouver/Old Apple Tree promoters? It would be a good way for the artist to have their name publicized. (hint, hint!!!)
